About BCA

BCA - three years degree course is offered by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. YCMOU established in July 1989 by the Act XX-(1989) of the Maharashtra State Legislature. BCA degree is recognized all over india and abroad for job, higher education & competitive exams like MPSC/UPSC.

Eligibility for FY BCA Admission

  • HSC (10+2) Pass (Any stream) or

  • Three years Diploma from (MSBTE) or

  • Two Years ITI from Govt. Institutions or

Eligibility For Direct SY BCA Admission

  • Three Years Diploma in IT or Computer from recognized State Board/College ...OR...

  • FY BCA / BCS OR FY of any Computer degree OR FY Engineering Pass

Admission Procedure

Students has to approach MICROCOMM before the last date of admission.

Documents required for Admission :

  • All documents must be self attested

  • Take photocopy of original documents.

  • SSC & HSC Mark sheet Photocopy.

  • Leaving certificate / PAN Card / Aadhar Card Photocopy.

  • Passport size 2 Recent Photos

  • Diploma students- Mark sheets of all years & Diploma Certificate.

(If students passed in more than one attempt then attach all mark sheets)

YCMOU may ask you to present all original documents for verification during your degree duration. YCMOU do not take any original document.

Course Fees & Duration

    Stundent has to pay one time fee as per YCMOU rule. Course Fees includes:
  • One time exam fees.

  • PDF Books from YCMOU.

  • Degree Duration:

    3 Years (6 Semester).

Examination

  • Examination (Semester I / III / V) : December & January

  • Examination (Semester II / IV / VI) : May & June

  • Project End Examination (Semester VI) : May

Admission / Registration Validity

The registration to the programme BCA will be valid for a period of 5 (Five) academics year including the year of registering for the first year. The student should complete BCA successfully within the said period. After the expiry of the valid registration period, the student should re-register i.e. take fresh admission to the programme by paying to the University, the fees specified in the Prospectus (provided the University continues to offer the programmes at that time). All the rules and regulations, which exist at the time of re-registration, will apply to the student.

  • Is BCA government authorized degree ?

    Yes, BCA degree officered by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik (YCMOU). This university established by Govt. of Maharasthra in July 1989 by the Act XX-(1989) of the Maharashtra State Legislature. Please see the BCA approval letter. BCA degree is recognized all over India & abroad for job, higher education and competitive exams like MPSC/UPSC.

  • Is YCMOU BCA Valid for MPSC/UPSC Exam?

    Yes, Please read following documents.
    1) MPSC Approved Universities in India (refer Sr.No. 179)

  • What is the qualification required to get admission to BCA?

    UGC rule for degree course is 10+2+3. Student must be HSC (10+2) or Diploma holder (Three years Diploma offered by Board of Technical Examination).  Non HSC students please read last para of this page.

  • Do you enroll only HSC (science) students ?

    No, there is no such criteria. HSC passed students with any stream i.e. arts, commerce, MCVC, science are eligible to get admission to BCA.

  • Can I get admission to PG degree after completion of BCA ?

  • What is duration for BCA ?

    Duration for BCA is 3 years (6 semesters)

    (New Delhi, Feb 25, 2009: The Supreme Court has upheld a UGC rule which says that no student shall be eligible for a Masters degree, including under the Open University System (OUS), unless he or she has successfully completes a three-year degree course. For more detail please search on web).

  • Can I pay fees in installment ?

    No, Students has to pay complete Course fees to University using online payment gateway.

  • What will be the exam schedule ?

    University conduct exams after every six months.

  • If I fail in any subject, then what will be the re-exam procedure ?

    Fail student can give re-exam in next semester exam i.e.after six months. No year down concept due to fail in any number of subjects. Re-Exam fees Rs.500/- for one or all subjects.

  • When I will get mark sheet ?

    After completion of Theory and Practical Exam, student will receive mark sheet within 60 to 75 days.

  • I don't have HSC (10+2) qualification, Can I get admission to BCA ?
